Run out of network ports but my HUB won't play

I've run out of network ports from the back of my router.

I've had a Linksys 5 port hub for yonks, so I thought I'd make use of that.

I've plugged a network cable from my Router into the uplink port on the hub but nothing I plug into the hub can get an IP address from the router.

The router is doing the DHCP stuff for me and I have no pre-assigned IP addresses on any of the kit I want to connect through the hub.

I'm either missing something basic or what?

Nah, it has a dedicated uplink port and 5 network ports.

    It's an EFAH05W

And, while searching for that link, I found the elusive user guide... which said that Port 5 musn;t be used if you use the uplink port... guess where I was plugging stuff in?

    So now it's all working!

    Cheers!
