    Pipex Customers!!!

    Hello & good morning,

Iam a pipex customer currently on the pipex go service with a unlimited monthly usage, but pipex have a AUP which dosent state how much you can download a month before pipex get with you.

I was just wondering if anyone here uses azures or simillar on a pipex service and how they get on with it becuase pipex also bandwidth throttle on Bittorrent ports, iam not wanting to download illegal material i just wanna download some mix's from themixingbowl.

    Cheers

used to have pipex last year and i used azureus, didnt seem to have any issues. If i got dire speeds i usually blamed the seeds or my router

Same as above posters really. I use Utorrent and download say maybe 15 gig a month. I have seen poor speed on downloads from BT but that usually 'cause the seeder is not using a client that surrports encryption. Im only on a 1meg line (23.44 a month!!!! too expensive but thats another argument) and at the mo at lot of time i can get 110 - 115k down which is damm good id say. I reckon if your pushing somewhere between 30-50gig at peak times (never thought id be saying that in relation to broadband) you could be looking at trouble to be honest but i have never heard them sending letters saying u have used to much or cutting u off so i wouldent worry too much

something's going on as people who used to get a max 20 kb/s are reporting faster and then slower speeds again here

Ahh well - 15 Gb a month should be enough

Pipex are good and i rang them this morning and iam on the pipex go and that service does have a cap but customers that signed up before the new service was rolled out are not affected by this.

I plan on only downloading 1-3 mix's week which should be only about 600MB tops.
