    Speed question.

    Can my wireless network affect the speed of my net connection?

    I have a wired NIC card and a wireless NIC card in my machine, which are bridged...

    I'm running XP Pro and using a USB modem on 512k broadband.

    I've done ALL the speedtests in the sticky and got varied results, but my scores deffo seem lower than they used to be with ADSL Guide.

    Any ideas?

    I have a wierd (and probably totally wrong) theory that the bridging is interfering in some way???

    Possibly does because more processing is going on somewhere around the protocol level. Windows is sloppy with TCP/IP at the best of times, so I'd say it's possible that your bridge is the cause.

    How big is the difference?
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Yeah, i must be something to do with the bridge as its deffo quicker with it disabled...

    Ahh well, something to remember when gaming.... annoying though... I might remove the bridge tbh, don't really need it.
