    NAT error

Setup: Azureus + Draytek Vigor 2200USB
Basically ive enabled the DMZ which should open the router to the outside world. i.e opening all ports?
And when im doing a port test on azureus no matte wot port it says NAT error. Now its still downloaidng things but at like 5kb/s even when i have 100 sources.

    Any clues guys/girls?

Switch on UPnP if it is disabled - that will automatically open the relevant ports

The DMZ would have to point to your computer/network.. that's not a great idea anyway, better to either enable UPnP or forward a static port to your computer. The UPnP option is less hassle.

agreed, utorrent has nearly all the features azureus (all the ones that count), and has far less overhead and bloat.

DMZ doesn't remove NAT or firewalls from your router. You specify an IP address of one of the computers on your network, and that computer is then open to the world. Not the router or network itself.

depends on your network setup, i just noticed your Draytek modem is a USB model.. does it connect directly to your PC?.. if so, are you sharing it somehow?.. is there a software firewall?.. which one?

Your software firewall is blocking the incoming ports you have set in Azureus, which will cause the NAT error.

You need to enable these ports in your firewall, and allow incoming and outgoing traffic.

Ok. here's a guide for Azureus and uTorrent should you wish to give it a try, it's written with the Vigor 2200E in mind, but I imagine the setup process shouldn't differ that much. If that doesn't sort you out then let us know and give plenty of detail.

Which software firewall are you usng?

Also Open Azureus, disable your software firewall then run a Firewall/NAT test in Azureus and see if you get an 'OK'. If you do then you know it is your software firewall blocking the ports and nothing to do with your router. I had the same issue with Bit defender.
