NTL people reset your modems for 4 Mbps

It seems they have done all the upgrading (or at least a lot) so you need to turn the
modem off for it to kick in.

Just tried restarting the set-top-box. No speed increase as of yet.

I also just checked NTL:Hell forum, and apparently the speeds go up as follows:

    1mb > 2mb
    2mb > 4mb

My area should be upgraded by now, I'll have to try again.

    #EDIT#
    Tried again, still nothing.

Mine was from 2 to 4. I tried a week or two back and it didnt work but I tried today, and
adslguides speed test went from 1.9 to 3.7 down.

I read that they were supposed to have completed it all by the end of june.

You have a set top box and not the common silver modem?

    take a look at this

Yeah, I have the set top box.

Not to worry, I'll probably get upgraded later. Thanks for the link.

Only people on the 2MB service are being updated, 1MB users will remain 1MB.

So the three packages are now.

    1MB - 100k UP - £17.99
    4Mb - 400k UP - £24.99
    10MB - 512k UP - £34.99

All of the packages are unlimited.

Edit: lol he was an idiot i slept round his for some lan games last night and said screw it do a speed test and he had it, BUT his step dad is cancelling it cos it costs £22 instead of around £16!
