How hot is your router getting?!
My new 24mbit router has been strategically given to us since we migrated during summer. I think though my internet keeps cutting out because its getting so damn hot that it slightly scarred the wooden table it was on! I can't have it anywhere else, so what I did was mount it on two halfs of a heatsink like this...
============ (Router)
...[]................[]...
(floor)
So in a way its got metallic heatsink feet. These get SO hot you can't touch them, and I find the internet has quite often cut out over the last few days....
Shouldn't it be a time for some sort of heat-tackling solution in routers? There probably are some in a few models out there, but all the ones I've owned don't - this doesnt even have vents at the top T_T... surely a little slow exhaust fan would help?
Anyone else getting routers melting through the floor?
