right, been trying to put together my site...bit by bit and ever so slowly!
anyway - I made up a CSS thingy to be a sitewide style, only thing is I can't quite seem to get it to work righthere's what it looks like so far

feel free to rip it apart and/or tidy the code up if it makes more sense to do that. I've basically been trying to find a way of keeping the space on the left (where the camera hangs - its a background image utelised through css - again to be used site-wide) and then columns to the right of that. Ideally the columns would be a little lower to allow sufficient space for the links to fit more to the left (more under the title rather than in the middle).
I have been trying to position things but become unstuck!
the left will have quick gallery links, centre will have a blog - php type thing (if I figure out how to write that!) so a place-holder would go here (or do they call them includes?) and also recent uploads as thumbnails below that, the right column has a selection of 6 (or so) thumbnails randomly chosen from the entire lot, the idea being viewers can go 'ooh!' and have a look at something else beyond their original intention.
suggestions and comments most welcome - keep technical stuff sort of simple - for now!![]()
