Does a gaming bridge with WPA security exist?
This doesn't really answer your question....but my Linksys WGA54G does *not* do WPA :-(
I'm thinking of getting another WRT54GS (if it's an older version) or a WRT54GL and put dd-wrt on it...
W.
if i was to flash a 5gs with dd-wrt would that work as a 4 port ethernet bridge?
my WRT54GL does WAP iirc, and is one of the best around
edit: its made by linksys
thought the WRT54GL was a WAP though?Quote:

ordered a WRT54GL/GS from www.fon.com
£12 delivered.
Ah yes I forgot about them.
Can you specifiy which router you get? Or do they only offer the Linksys? (which I think is the best).
You know you have to keep your wireless network open?
Very interested to hear how you get on - please keep me (us!) posted :-)

Bear in mind the lan and wlan have been seperated to stop sharers loging onto your router and browsing your shared folders, which unfortunately means the wlan connection is internet only. You have to use your fon username/password to use the wlan, which connects to a radius server at FON.
I'd say buy one, give it a couple of months, and wait till they go bankrupt, then you can do what you want with the router without them threatening you with additional charges.
Incidentally, if you didn't pay by credit card, how can they get anything off you?
Take a look at the Fon forums. Talk about a shambles.
I didnt pay by credit card and I used an address which i've moved out of... I have registered the router within the 30 days, which as far as i can tell is all they ask you to do.
As soon as i can find the Advanced firmware for Fon, ill download it thus having a backup. And flash to whatever.. dd-wrt or somethin
What's a gaming bridge?
