    Voice Comms

    Hi,

Does anyone have any recommendations of any voice comms companies for either a Ventrilo or Teamspeak server? I've had a look around and prices seem to vary quite a bit from £5 a month to over £30.

I don't want to pay a fortune, £10 a month would be acceptable, but I would like to have as many connections as possible for that amount (preferably around 30-40 or so).

    Cheers guys.

Can no-one advise me on voice comm server rentals? Would like to get one up and running for my guild ASAP.

Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

I could tell you which companies have TS as a service to offer, but I'm not actually in charge of our TS server in anyway. As far as I know, a friend of one of the clan members has a dedicated server he's letting us use .

What we USED to do was that one of us would have a PC constantly running (a lot of people do nowadays), and just run a TS server from their PC. It should work fine like that so long as you've got a decent amount of bandwidth, and you're not going to hammer it with tonnes of people.

Thanks. I don't like the idea of handing out my IP address to everyone, just in case.

I'd prefer to use a UK retailer though Barry, but thanks for the link. I might look into getting a Virtual Dedicated Server if it's not too much, see if that is a possibility.

    Thanks anyway.
