How to capture video off camcorder?

    Hi everyone,
I have recently been on holiday and someone had a camcorder and recorded a lot of footage, I am wondering how to record the footage onto my computer? Like what equiptment do I need, etc. It is not digital, it uses the camcorder tapes. Thanks for looking.

if it isn't digital (with a Firewire connector) then you will need a regular TV capture card with composite video input. Connect the camera to this and your sound card and then you could probably just use the software that came with the card to do the capture.
