    You will find it hard if not impossible to find a 5 - 8 port gigabit switch that is rackmountable... Simply because they are so small 16 port switches would be your best bet if you really want rackmounting as an option. You could use a shelf in your rack though which would let you get past that problem...

    There are plenty of gigabit switches at reasonable prices now (on Scan for instance there are at least 6 in the 5 - 8 port capacity. All much the same tbh so just look for ones with a built in PSU (not common in switches of this size though) or whatever jumbo frame size requirement you have...
