thinking of getting an x 360 and would like to use it on my wireless net
as i dont wnat to pay the extortonate £60 for an adapter could i use my usb netgear adapter the x360 adapter looked to be usb
or could i connect it to the lan on my pc then bridge the connection or something so it used my pcs wireless adapter

You could use a wireless bridge dongle (Cat5 to wireless), or as you suggest run a crossover to your pc and bridge it to wireless. For the price i'd rather run a wire!

Your usb netgear wireless adapter wont work, the other way will or as Speedo says a wireless bridge dongle. The other alternative is to use a wireless router and use that to bridge the connection. I use a WRT54GS for exactly this purpose, both my media centre & 360 are connected to the router which then connects wirelessly to the main router.
