    Question Er...ping?

Can anyone tell me what my ping should be and what site I should test it on. With google.com it averages 45ms.
    With love and many thanks,

50ms is average for most people. 25ms is great, 75-100 is bad, but playable.

depends what you want to test.

If you want to test say your ADSL line, then your isp's webserver would probably be quite a good bet.

If you want to test how good your connection to say forums.hexus.net is, then ping that.

if you use tracert (trace route) then you get more meaning full info, forinstance, i see that i've got a 4ms lag on my wireless network, then a 10ms lag to my isps servers, all in 14ms to forums.hexus.net.... good old beboardband!
