Is it possible to have 2 ADSL isp's on 1 line?

I'm having a lot of troubles with disconnects while playing WoW. This not the fault of my ISP (Nildram) but the problem is with the Telia servers.

The issue the return packets don't get through (either mis-routed or some other issue) so you lose sync with the server and disconnect. I was on Nildram until a couple of weeks back and after months of the issue I reluctantly migrated to Zen and apart from the new issue of server-wide lag spikes it's been fine. You really have no choice but to migrate, we waited months for a fix and Blizzard/Telia refused to cooperate with Nildram support so basically if you stay with Nildram you're relying on them accidentally fixing it...
Now the chap who posted that on the WoW forums has had no problems with his new ISP disconnecting from WoW since moving to Zen, but some people still have it on Zen, as far as I can tell it's all down to the routing.

    Some more information:

    - Nildram peer directly with telia supposedly this would indicate a superior connection (i.e. less hops) but ironically causes problems due to the poor management of telia.

    - The return packets are indeed the source of the problem, meaning you can not provide any information which would prove the source of the problem only blizzard or telia can do this.

    - Zen, for example do not have a direct peer with telia which allows them to bypass some of the telia routers at the expense of more hops (for example sprintlink) this thankfully means the return route is different and avoids the problem.

Will it be fixed? Very, very doubtful,

The blizzard technical support is one of the most incompetant support teams I have encountered and have little knowledge about such issues or seemingly how to go about reporting or fixing them. As others have said, the only solution is to stop your subscription or change ISP.
Another post on the WoW forums.

Anyways I am getting away from what I was going to ask Can I sign up to Zen adsl and still keep my Nildram account, so I would have 2 adsl accounts, and try their service, and if it's no better just cancel the Zen account after a month? Or are you only able to have 1 ADSL ISP at a time?

    Cheers.

You could migrate over then migrate back but not having both accounts unfortunately. This is due to the way BT binds the phone number to one ISP only

1 phone line isnt capable of haveing 2 adsl services running on it at the same time. They would use the same bandwidth and therefore interfere with each other, how would you tell the 2 modems at your end which vslam to use?

Short answer, no mate, like arthurleung said you could only migrate over and then back!

    it is impossible.

    1 line = 1 copper circuit.

    1 copper circuit = 1 adsl line

IIRC, ADSL can support multiple ISPs, but you certainly wont get it working in the UK on residential lines (thanks to BT mainly). Multiple ISPs using ADSL is used in many country’s around the world (although i think its only via PPPoE)
Ive heard of some people even load balancing between two different ISPs - just had a look on google and found some interesting info on it - needs special equipment (or linux ) though.
