    need new modem/router mines died!

last night we had a bad thunder storm while i was a sleep!

i went to use my pc this morning and the Internet didn't work after a while i figured out it was my bt voyager 205 modem/router that was the problem!

so i took it apart and there is all burn marks around the Ethernet port

so i now need a new one so what are your recommendations it needs to be as cheap as possible and will be used with a 2mb adsl connection (hopefully soon to be a 8mb connection) and will be connected to 2 PC's!

    so what should i get?

I had a NetGear DG834G for 2 1/2 years and it was OK - is is still running OK at a friends house.

I replaced it with a NetGear DG834PN and I think this is excellent, easy to configure and very reliable. I have recommended to several friends and collegues and all are very happy with theirs.

Draytek Vigor are possibly somewaht better, but are a lot more expensive.

I can thouroughly recommend the NetGear DG834PN
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.
