Wirless router can be found by netstumbler but not windows?

I've got a bekin 7633, long story short is that wireless appeard to 'die' i've now got it updated & the wireles LED lights, netstumbler finds the network but windows/belkin app don't.
Why could this be? everything has been reset to factory defaults, i turned security off & let the network be seen by everything possible but windows just cant find it! I do seem to have a few wireless networks installed (ie im on 'wireless network 5' at the moment, i don't use the others so can i get rid of them somehow (they dont show in control panel or network folder btw!)

Help as im back to using an alcatel frog!!!

So you are using the Belkin configuration tool rather than windows wireless zero config...? If so I would give that a go and see if it see's it... Do make sure that the WIFI router is broadcasting its SSID as well otherwise windows etc may well not see it...

ive used the belkin program with WZC off/on. I then turned the belkin thing off & used WZC but still nothing

SSID is on, its all factory default so it shouldn be hiding away!
