    Be 24 - Activation (not)

Anyone connected to Be for their ADSL provision? How long did it take from the quoted date of activation to the actual date of activation?

I was meant to migrate from Zen (who are very good - but pay through the nose) to Be. Be emailed saying activation was scheduled for 27 Sept. Went to confirm with Zen of the migration and they told me the activation was actually the 2 Oct (info on their system from BT Openreach). Anyway - no problems as Zen provided the connection until I was migrated.

Problem starts as I have not been activated on the exchange to Be but have been deactivated from Zen. So no connection. Continued callling of their east European help desk ensued. Kept saying tomorrow etc etc but never happened. Promised via their support ticket system and forum that it would be 5 Oct evening or morning of 6 Oct.

Now 6 Oct evening and still no connection - their helpdesk can't do jack as the provisioning team has finished for the day and don't work weekends......

So if any one is on Be - how long did it take?

Not too sure what you're missing.

Both your "account" needs to be activated on Be and you need to have the engineer to physicall jumper you across from BT's wholesale service to the local loop unbundled connection used by Be.

I thought it was BT who had to patch you through, and if so, then you have been patched as Zen told you your "activation" was on the 2nd Oct. In which case, you're using Be's "wires", but your account is not set up.

Need clarifiaction on what's meant by "activation"
