Laptop will not connect to remote server

Well, that's not strictly true let me explain. I connect by VPN from home to my office server (Small Business 2003) - I have 2 desktops which connect and download emails no problem. I have now got a Dell Inspiron laptop and would prefer to use this but althhough it appears to make the VPN link OK, I cannot get Outlook 2003 to connect and download

when I take the Dell into the office, it hooks up, connects and downloads no problem

Any help you can guys can give would be much appreciated - thanks

can you ping the SBS box when you connect to the LAN ?

I wonder if the network settings on the laptop are affecting it. Is the laptop on DHCP ?

can you connect via outlook web access ?

Moby - thanks for replying quickly. Your questions made me check all VPN security settings again and...................they were wrong
