When you are connected to the ISDN.. can you ping the address of the remote server?

What connection equipment are you using? Modem/Router?

    Can you surf everywhere ok??

It sounds like it could be a DNS problem. Can you lookup the ns record...??

What's the server addy?? Are you doing by hostname or by IP?

    Have you changed your ISP??

Try changing the FTP host address to from uploads.blah.blah.. to

    195.92.195.164

    or

    195.92.193.198

Because it you have changed ISP's.. there is a possiblity that freeserve only allow you to connect through their connection (in this case.. the 56k).

Im not sure on their policies, ringing them might clarify that for sure

Did you try those IP addresses? (they are the two resolving addresses for the freeserver FTP server).

Thats sounds very likely why mate. Sorry

Give them a ring and see what they say, otherwise you will have to move your site to the new ISP's webspace (or grab one of those £2-£5 a month type hosting services)

Ps.. Daniel is a good name heh

FS do only allow acess through their numbers - saves people signing up and filling webspace with warez.
