are there any unlimited ISPs left in the UK?!

ok, i was considering switching to BT buisness as i had heard good things about them, however now it seems that they have an unfair usage policy...

are there any decent ISPs left that cost a reasonable amount? (by that, i mean similar to bt buisness "mid" cost of about £30 a month)

    thanks in advance!

been using them for a year and they are unlimited with a healthy fair usage policy (cant remember how much but surely will be enough)

How much do you use a month at the moment? I signed up to a 30Gb/peak, 300Gb/off peak package with Aquiss and they've been ace - no packet shaping or rubbish like that. I thought I was pushing my luck in terms of bandwidth (quite a few machine rebuilds, including WoW patch downloads and stuff) and I'm about to come to the end of my billing period about 35% under the amount they allow. Service is bloody ace too - the techies really are techy. Ooh, and if it makes any difference I got a block of 8 ip addresses for no extra cost just by asking - seemingly they'll do 16 on request, any more than that they charge for.

Oh, and it's costing me £24.99/month on a monthly contract - not the cheapest but I would seriously recommend them (and no, I don't work for them!)

"Unlimited" bandwidth usually/almost always has a Fair Usage Policy to stop people using ridiculous amounts of bandwidth.

    yes, but what is the

seems that they have an unfair usage policy...
    that ultramagnus speaks of.

Fair usage, yes, but for someone to say "unfair usage" I'd like to know what silly policy is believed to be enforced, and the source of where that information came from.

Agreed, NTL/Telewest are probably the best bet but they've admitted recently they've been traffic shaping due to "heavy users".

Personally I think they're still the best ISP you can get if your lucky enough to have cable in your area.

well thats funny because I use BT Business and my business has gone over their 100gb cap so I am now down from 8mb/s to 1mb/s.

I know that BT Business have a 100GB cap becuase I have hit it.

I've never noticed any limits / shaping on my 4MB/s NTL or Telewest connections (had both in last 3 years).

Zen office package is still uncapped with no FUP.

Its about 80 quid a month though.

The problem is that BT Centrals cost a lot which means that running an unlimited product is no longer financially viable if you get a lot of very heavy users on it(a 2 meg line being maxed out for a month costs an ISP about 600 quid)
