Unhappy Spam - to an "invalid" address

I Have have a domain registerd with 123reg and have it set up for web forwinging (to me, sister, dad, mum etc)
    - and then any other emails sent to the domain (eg - randomname@domain.com)
get forwarded to me as well

but some spammer is sending spam to Daniel|daniel@domain.com

-so i thought, i'll just direct Daniel|daniel to some non exsistant place but it says "Daniel|daniel" is not Valid

finaly of can i type "|" - which key would that be

I can't help with the rest, but the | key can be done by holding shift and hitting backslash (\) to the left of the z key.

It probably isn't even being sent to that address in the first place, you can spoof the to AND from addresses, so you need to open the e-mail and check the actual full headers of it and see if that is where it is actually aimed to.

If that doesn't work, then you are pretty much stuck until you can find a way of doing your own mail hosting.

Or why not just remove the "catch all" address i.e. randomname@domain.com and just make a personal one for yourself so that any software "guessing" your real address will end up failing more often than not as they get the "email address doesnt exist" error
