    CRC Errors / MTU Adjustment

That's the status reported by my ADSL router. I have the ability to adjust the MTU values on my router. Will doing this reduce/prevent the CRC errors?

Is there some kind of wizard program that can look at my connection and give me MTU values correct for me?

    Thanks

How long was the connection up to get that many errors? Or rather how much data had it passed overall?

I would say that that number of errors occurs on my conenction after maybe (guessing) perhaps 5 - 10 gig? I seem to remember always getting the odd few errors and I've run my connection at both the old recommended MTU and the windows standard 1500.

BT are supposed to be in the processs of changing all their exchanges equipment at the mo anyway, so I wouldnt necessarily believe any peoples past results and automatically just set your modem to <1460 etc.
