Pc and Mac on a network

    Hi guys

Well, I'm sharing an adsl connection using a netgear DG814. My other flatmate has got a MAC and everything is alright.

However, we would like to share files on the network. Does anyone know how to do some file sharing between MACs and PCs?

    Thanks

What OS is the mac running?
If its OS 10.2, then just press apple+k, or in the finder click go, go to server. It should show the pc (assuming sharing is on) and then you can select the volumee you and it will mount on the desktop Voila!

in 10 you have to go into system prefs/whatever its called, go to file sharing, and set windows file sharing to ON to be able to see the mac stuff from the pc; from the pc, as already said, command-k is "connect to server"...I have found it works best if you know exactly what you are connecting to, ie include the share at the end, eg smb://192.168.0.1/share rather than just bashing away and hoping the computer will show up...although that could just be me!
    Well Hello!
