Its the in app stuff that tends to catch us. We had some free games, an unrooted tablet. One click from an advert off to a chinese site, downloading apks. Icons all over the home screen.

Wiped the table tot be safe....all in a matter of seconds.

Locked the apps now with a pin and installed the Amazon App store. The underground apps are all free and I dont recall and advertising or in app purchases.

Parents should limit their kids in using ipad especially watching too much videos on youtube. Kids who are expose on youtube are so naughty. I think it is due to many cartoon videos that they usually watched. Kids tend to mimic what they saw so too much youtube is not healthy for them.

The comment section in youtube really lets it down. Doesn't take long for comments to turn into massive arguments with very questionable language.

I think Ellen released a family friendly youtube site.

    Re: Youtube for kids?

There is now a YouTube Kids app on Google Play. I noticed it this morning when I was scrolling through for another Cars video

And if I'd read the thread first, I'd have seen that. It's called YT Kids, bTW.

Well for 4 yrs old, you can always try cartoons for kids. My kids used to love cartoon so much. Later on they moved on to Justice leagues heros fighting crimes cartoon. But as they grow up more and got into highschool, they thought that cartoons are for little kids and they start browsing online learn sites for example **snip **as they want to get good at maths in school.

try searching for some parental control tools. I know that Kaspersky has some features that can help you manage the apps that your kid uses
