Hi,
it's really a hard decision. I think it depends on the type of the games they would be playing if it's something like a virtual life NO!! because kids would forget about the real world and would just run into that unreal fancy world so often! so I suggest you recommend what type of games they would be downloading.
please do NOT suggest trading games.
we do not allow promotion of them on this forum
thank you

Punished? No. I think they should be corrected, so they can understand why what they did was wrong, but punishing someone for making a mistake isnt helpful, I feel.
I dont understand why mobiles are allowed within the school day anyway, they should be locked away all day including break times and only permitted travelling to and from school. What benefit is there to students having them within the school day?
I think as some others have said it depends what the trading games are, are these fake money cfd trading tools where you perform trades against the actual stock value or lemonade tycoon style games?
Just as a comment on the posts from days gone by....
I'd give my kid £20.
They can ONLY gamble with it.
Any winnings can ONLY be gambled with.
They'll learn that lesson very quickly and it'll cost you only £20.
Myself, I used to be a member of almost every Casino in Leeds. I only lost overall at one. The reason was I knew what I was doing and when to quit. Managing that is simple. You take out a certain amount of cash plus your taxi money. Once that cash is gone, IT IS GONE. Spend any more and you're walking home. Ensure this by taking a credit card out where withdrawing money is expensive (therefore you'll only use it in an emergency). You may play until you get bored or the money is gone. Overall, in many years of gambling like this, knowing the game (Blackjack) inside and out and spending hundreds, if not thousands in casinos, d'ya wanna know how much I walked away with at the end?
I was up a tenner.
All that work, for a tenner.
The reason being if you want to win big, you have to bet big. The table rules will always ensure you can't win if you keep betting big and covering previous bets. So you have to bet small and recycle money. And you will probably, if you know the game and can control yourself, break even over a long period of time.
Y'know what I learned? Casinos with Triads in are scary. And Roulette is not a sensible game to play unless you're really good with magnets.
I don't think that it's a good idea.
