This.
Unless your goal isn't to win.
The whole point of social media is to 'brag'. Which may actually mean 'share the positive parts of your life'. For some, or many people, a Christmas Tree with a large pile of gifts for family is a life goal, and an achievement shared. Is it bragging? Absolutely. But if it's not designed to make others feel bad, then what's the harm?
I use occasionally social media to share some of my achievements, I think I've made a half dozen facebook posts this year, but I don't feel jealous of others when they do the same... My brag this year will be a typical pilot map of the places I've flown, and I expect to see a few others from friends, which I'll look at out of interest more than jealousy.

Should we not be able to show what we've achieved, in terms of being able to spend a lot of money on presents for those we love?
I don't see why others should have any right to say that you can't do that, and if they don't have as much under their tree, that's their problem and not yours.
I don't personally get it but I'd never even consider it as a problem if I saw it.

That could mean a lot of people are getting a lot of Primark socks, ties and jumpers for Christmas... Meanwhile some poor young man in some other family has just one teeny tiny litte palm-sized box as his entire Christmas. Having seen everyone else's HUGE piles of presents, how bad is he gonna feel when he opens his... and finds it contains a single key, with an Aston Martin logo!!! :D
All a matter of perspective.

Yes this is a thing!
I never post photos of my sons presents online because I think irs quite personal, I dont want everyone seeing how much he does/doesnt have
Re: Social Media posts about "parents bragging" about Christmas presents for kids
I think noone will be able to convince me that the amount of presents is more important than its "quality" aka the "soul" and feelings that you put in it.
