    LCD and TFT *Stupid Question Alert*

    Whats the difference or are they the same thing?

    Well, yes and no.

    LCD is Liquid Crystal Display,
    and TFT is Thin Film Transistor.

    But youu could say that TFT is an addon for an LCD.
    You can have both. There are a lot of LCDs out there, mainly TVs.
    And then you have the TFT-LCDs, which are most only referenced as TFT, which would be your PC Monitor.
