Hi guys. I'm new here and also new to this pc building thing, but my current system is soooooo old and dust has clogged up the motherboard making it edgy... anywho... I just bought the following items on my quest for a monster:
Asus P5B Deluxe motherboard
Antec P180 case
Seasonic 430W PSU (this is the item in question).
Will the PSU be sufficient to run a Core 2 Duo 6400 CPU and also I intend to get a Sapphire Radeon x1650 512mb graphics card.
Yup, that'd be more than enough.
Although I'm sure in no time at all someone is going to pop in and tell you to get a 120kW PSU "just to be on the safe side".
You might be better off getting 120kw PSU, just to be on the safe side.
The seasonic is fine :)
Seasonic are superb PSU's. Stable and very quiet indeed. Corsair and Zalman and great too. 400w - 500w (ish) is more than enough.
Thanks aidanjt (and clunk... and koolpc...). I was hoping so, I'm broke enough already! Also, since the case is so big and the PSU is located at the bottom, I've heard that there may be problems getting some of the PSU's cables to reach certain components. Then I heard that the Seasonic S12's have longer cables and should be able to reach everything ok. Is that truly the case?

Damn, I done bought it already and I don't remember seeing it say version 2 on it anywhere. Never mind. I'll just have to work it somehow I guess - I can't be agged to change it now. Thanks everyone for your help.
