This case may also go by the name of RC-832, but without the nvidia green, which would be a bit of a bonus if i'm honset about it

You'd have to be the ultimate of ultimate fanboys (or just an über nerd) to get one of these over a regular Stacker (which I wouldn't have either) or the one Nox mentions

I'm considering a stacker at the moment (old style as I don't want the door on the front).

the main reason is front drive bay access.

would you care to explain your reasons for not wanting one please.

    thanks.

Poor cooling - not sure how it manages it when all it is is a lump of mesh, but in recent reviews I've not seen it finish anything other than last. Take a look at the recent Hexus case reviews - they've usually got a Stacker in there.

would get water cooled anyway - actually considering hanging a radiator out the window at the moment for my computer and just running everything through that - certainly cold enough!

    Then that problem goes away

I guess the ambient could still make a teeny weeny difference (chipset if you don't H20 that, PSU, etc), but it's unlikely you'd see anything different of course - and lets face it, it's not as if it's bad cooling, just not quite up to some of the other cases in that price-bracket aimed at enthusiasts.

Ive got the old style stacker in blue/silver. I find the cooling performance to be excellent. Its has 2x120mm fans on front, 80mm on top, 120mm at rear.

My idle chipset temps are 28c, CPU is 37c and GPU is 39c. Those temps are pretty good if you ask me.

Nvidia should give these away free with top of the range graphics cards seeing as they are just a large and unsightly advert.

afaik, my temps fall around about that level too, so stacker for the win

thats why i'd prefer the RC-832 - same design by the looks of things, without the sticker and green sides. tho, i'm now thinking of a 8800gtx instead after seeing the £350 price tag..
