I do have a soundcard. So I shall try that. However, how are you meant to play cs without sound!
I unfortunately cant get another PSU without spending money I don't really have.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Well after almost a week with my soundcard uplugged and lying next to me (onboard sound enabled + installed) it appears it was the soundcard + drivers.
I also tested without any sound and it also seemed to work fine.
Thanks to everyone that pitched in to help solve this
So the question now is: Why is there a problem the soundcard and its drivers when it works find on my old comp?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Now you narrowed it down a bit, you can start on other things.
Did you completely disable the onboard sound in the bios, uninstall the onboard drivers with driver cleaner and then reinstall your sound card + latest drivers?
What sound card is it? Could be an IRQ problem.
I uninstalled the soundcard, removed its drivers, the onboard sound was already disabled and uninstalled. I haven't bothered reinstalling the soundcard. When I tried updating the drivers the installation encountered errors and then shortly rebooted the system.
Its a soundblaster audigy
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Logitech quick cam?
And have you updated to the latest bios, looks like the audigy is a problem for a few people with the 10x bios.
I don't own any webcams. And I have the latest mobo BIOS.
The thing is, I was having these reboot issues even before I flashed the BIOS to the latest. So it could either be just the board doesn't like the card or its the actual PCI slot that is bodged. Thing is, my GFX card's cooler takes up the space of the other 2 PCI slots :x
Which is one of the most retarded design flaws I have ever seen.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I had a look last night and there seems to be a problem with the 10x bios and the audigy. Its a case of waiting for the next bios, or flashing back an older one (assuming that the bios is the problem).
Have you tried changing the PCI slot the Audigy goes in?
It shouldn't affect things but Creative Cards are notorious for causing conflicts because they don't adhere properly to various standards.
And that definitely applied to Audigies. The Xi-Fi (touch wood) seems immune to this problem.
Soz. Missed that. May well be the problem then.
