I considered a SD32G5 until I saw the price - for 80-90 pounds more the SD37P2 is FAR more futureproof.The only thing that it lacks is a PCI slot.I think there is allegedly a SD39P2 coming out that has this - it is only a rumour I think! Either way the SD32G5 is overpriced since it has an old chipset - the SD37P2 has the 975X chipset and a 400W PSU too! It can also hold optical drive and TWO hard disks without many problems too. It also has far better cooling than the G2/G5 series also which can get quite toasty at times in comparison!

Running my E4300@2.7ghz and not even breaking sweat.
It's as quiet as a mouse as well

Thanks for the advise, but there doesn't appear to be a standard PCI slot in SD37P2? I have a HDA Digital X-Mystique 7.1 sound card i would like to use, don't surpose this would work over PCi Express?

What's the onboard audio like? Does it do 5.1 sound out? I watch a lot of x264 movies and tv shows that have 5.1 sound tracks.

I'm afraid you are right, there is no pci slot.
Just 2*pci-e slots.
It has onboard 7.1 hd audio.
I use it in 5:1 mode and to me it seems fine, but I'm not a full on audiophile. Just use it for the odd dvd and mostly music.

With the latest bios I have my E4300 at 3ghz.It probably could run higher but I am running 667mhz memory and not 800mhz memory which is now officially supported!!

likewise I have my 4300 running @ 3.6 stable in everything except orthos, hasn't crashed in over a week of normal use

and my fans are still set to minimum with an idle temp of 32-34 degrees

In my opinion the best SFF case is the silverstone SUGO because it can take micro ATX boards and uses normal ATX power supplies, so you are very flexible with what you can use making it truly future proof.

fair enuff but not a single matx solution to allow any overclocking above 320 on a core2duo,

been there, tried it, gave up

I own a Sugo [ my 2nd] and a Shuttle [my 6th], and I know which I prefer, and its not just down to a psu either

The new SD39P2 has one PCI-E slot and one PCI slot instead off two PCI-E slots;it is virtually the same as the SD37P2 otherwise!!
