    Thread me a water-cooling system

I've heard that custom water-kits are better when custom made, rather than buying the pre-packed kits.

So, build me a kit. I want a working kit with a CPU block minimum and room for upgrades, the limit for the initial kit is around £150-170.

Your post needs to include EVERYTHING i will need to get it running, right down to the clamps and coolant, links to each product (or single retailers site), and any info i will need to know on building my first cooling kit.

I will appreciate it very much.

www.over-clock.co.uk They sell pretty much everyyhing you need with great service.

www.specialtech.co.uk loads of stuff, pretty good service.

    D-tek fuzion/swiftech apogee gt/Aquaxtreme mp-05 pro le water blocks - all good.

gpu block would depend on your graphics card, but on your budget, probably a maze 4 type would be perfect.

    Thermochill PA120.2 radiator

1/2" ID clerflex tubing or masterkleer 7/16 tubing

    zerex super coolant

    Laing/alphacool DDC or mcp655 D4/D5 pump

Lol, I was going to recommend my setup but clunk just pretty much did that! MP-05, PA120.2, and DDC ultra with alphacool top are all fantastic.

You'll also need distilled water (halfords), jubilee clips(or I've heard them called worm clips) which you can get from your local B&Q (or online), ptfe tape (VERY important). You'll also probably need barbs for your rad ,barbs for your pump.

As for res, really just look around and see what you like, I use a swiftech micrc, it's pretty good. You could also put a t line into your loop and use a fill port. If you went down that route you'd need a fill port, t line, and a little extra tubing.

I think that's everything. Fans for the rad are important.

If you're feeling a bit lazy over-clock.co.uk have a custom kit builder which I believe gives you everything. You pick the parts you want and I think they make sure you have the barbs etc. Good store too.

T-line is ok if you are stuck for space, but can be a pig to bleed, depending on how you rig it all up.

I think, really, the best thing for you to do, is to get googling and see what other people have done, get some ideas and then plan out how you are going to fit it all into your case. It might sound a bit long winded, but it makes it easier in the longrun.

I have Yate Loon ds12 fans on my rad, work a treat and undervolt well, and are pretty much silent. They are available from silencio_777 in fleabay.

Doddsy summed the rest up well

Agree with clunk on the yate loons, got them on my rad as well using a fan controller. Totally silent up to about 80% speed and at 100% you pretty much can't hear them a metre and a half away.

If youg et 7/16" tubing you dont need worm clips, its a bugger to fit, but it looks a hell of a lot nicer.
