Selling gaming rig advice re price of x850xt PE graphics card..

Currently selling my gaming rig with a 20" 2005FPW Dell monitor but I think the graphics card will keep the price down a bit - it's an X850xt PE - any idea what x850xt's go for now? I've done a search but can't find a definitive answer

Not too sure, but something like a budget X1900/1950 would probably sweeten the deal, though I guess you would have to way up whether it's worth it or not.

the x850xt pe gives better framerates than a 7600gt and near framerates to a x1950 pro. i seen some for £80 - 90 so that should give you an idea. still quite a fast card. i was looking for one of them for my agp board but now i decided to get a pci-e card.

Well, sell it as a mid-range gamers PC... Should go quite well.
If people are buying a second-hand/pre-built system then they aren't going to be techno-buffs.

I'm not even going to ask why, but OK. With the screen, you might get about £500, but i'm not sure.

Just had enough of PCs really. Don't use it for gaming anymore as I have a 360 and teh Mac is much slicker and had a much better OS - IMO.

Vista is quite nice by the way, and you can link your 360 and you PC together. But i totally see you point. If you're using a PC for everyday use and even graphics design i would say a MAC is a good choice over a PC. But if you want any sort of leg-room in upgrades, hardware, gaming, and the likes.... Nada.

I'm really not sure on your PC, I think my £500 price tag was well over the steep margin, but i don't know how much your kit is all worth... Sell it now before AGP becomes any more of a sin word.

If you're fed up of windows breaking on you, just get a low-end nVidia card and install Ubuntu or some such. At least it'll still be your hardware instead of Apples.

Bit worried you think £500 might be steep - paid £2,500 two years ago - I know prices drop and all that but I was hoping for £600 with the monitor but maybe I'm kidding myself....

if the pc is the one in your sig then it is worth about £600 - 700, but it would only be worth £700 depending on how much someone wants it. The monitor is keeping the price up though. my computer right now is worth like maybe £250 I think. shocking the depretiation rate is isn't it.

The problem is, mate, with these C2D's and DX10 cards coming out now at an affordable price, for £500-£600 you can get a sparkly new system... theres never a good time to sell old hardware, but this is a particularily bad one.

i know, but thats the base unit only. with the monitor and keyboard mouse and hard drives everything its worth that amount. unless you buy with a pc supplier like dell, but then you get crappy components sometimes usually most of the time for £600 and you'll probably get a crappy graphics card.
