    Best DDR2 ram for overclocking

As above, i just wanted to know what 2Gb kit would be good for overclocking with an EVGA 680i board and an e6600 cpu?

Budget of course will be under 200 though i might be able to stretch to 250... depending how much i have left after buying all the necessary components for my next set-up.

What do people think of Cellshock and Team Extreem?

I've just ordered some OCZ 6400's. I'll let you know how i get on, but OCZ's are very good value for money/bang for buck and they have a brilliant warranty for tweaks.

    Got a link for those?

BTW i forgot to mention, i'd prefer not to get it from overclockers, as i have had numerous problems with them.. but if theres nowhere else, i guess that'll be my last option

Poo they are nice ram but fugly looking coolers..

would i validate the warranty if i were to buy them but remove the heatspreaders?

Or do they do the same type of ram without the cooling option

Edit: Plus it'll be a shame as i'm transferring to a new set-up with a smaller case.. and moving my cooling from 1/2" to fully aquacomputer 8mm components

Just go for different ram if you dont like the look of the heatspreaders. Warranty on most ram is invalidated if you take the heat spreaders off.

Im a bit confused as to what you would class as a good looking heat spreader...can you post a pic of one?

Your current RAM is supposed to be a good OC'er....

Out of interest, are you planning on going past the 3.6GHz mark with your CPU, or just OCing the RAM out of sync with the CPU?

1st option.. plus the ram i have no is now being sold.

As for the heastspeaders.. its not a matter of taste in styling etc.. but i just don't want ram which comprises of watercooling such as those OCZ

The Ocz flex works just as well with air cooling or water cooling, thats the point of those heatsink things.

They have water cooling option. The sinks are monstrous so they should be fine with air cooling anyway.

Well looks is a matter of taste.... but for my old eyes, the best looking RAM is Corsair Dominator - but I don't think I would ever buy RAM based on what it looks like.

That said I do have Dominator 8500.....
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.
