1000W seems OTT, but what do people recommend from the new PSUs?
Must haves: Modular, good 12V rails, able to cope with Quad core, SLi (2 cards only).

Seasonic M12 750w if you are running quad core and 8800 GTX SLi, otherwise, get a single GTX and run the 600w version.
corsair hx620 can run two gtx's without a hitch. even though its not certified for sli use on the gtx's it can. you could get a OCZ Gamexstream at ebuyer for cheap. the 700W one is £74 and it gives efficiencies of over 83% at all loads. its certainly powerful enough to run quad core and sli.
How about the 850w Enermax Galaxy.. though thats only a semi-modular psu
my 620hx corsair comes with two dedicated 4 pin pci-e connectors. I would wait until the r600 is out (flagship), it probably will be better than the 8800gtx but you will also need a more powerful psu, in the region of 750+ (so I am told):)
But hasn't the R600 been delayed? Being realeased in the second quarter of this year.. plus the 8900GTX are soon to be released or so i've heard from rumours
.. lol ye.. same dimensions but different power.. and of course less cables.
If you are thinking about a Galaxy, hang on til after Cebit, theres a new model being launched with the 8 pin PCI-E 2 connectors and some other updates.
Thanks guys. Looks like the Galaxy then, and some big mofo of a case, maybe the Stacker 830 or 832.
