    Memory questions? need help

Hi all, i want to get some more memory to replace my old 1GB PC 2100 and was going to get some very expensive DDR PC4000, now my question is i want to upgrade to Core 2 at some point n the future are there any good motherboard which support core 2 and DDR as i see most motherboards are DDR2. If i get the DDR for my current board and want to upgrade in a few months i do not want to waist lots of money. any help would be greatly recieved.
    Thanks

    Herb

Your memory is massively under powered for your system and would see a good increase with faster RAM.

DDR will be useless when you upgrade to Core 2 Duo.
    Sorry!
