    Recommend me a mouse...

    Yeah I know, sounds daft.

I'm looking for recommendations for a gaming mouse for a right handed person with big hands.
I play a lot of FPS, and my current mouse (a Logitech mx500) lacks accuracy, and most significantly gets really uncomfortable. My hand doesn't fit to the mouse contours, so I find I have to grip the mouse with the ends of my fingers, which gives me pain in some of my joints. Oh, and the scroll wheel drives me mad - its too lose - its easy to scroll too far, and too easy to click down on it by mistake.

I like a bit of weight in the mouse, but it would be nice if I could adjust it. Needs to be corded.

    Thanks!

I have a bog standard Microsoft corded optical mouse, cost next to nothing.

I find the std MS mouse the most comfortable by far.

if you have fussy hand you might want to pop down pc world and check which ones fit nicely to give you a rough idea at least.

Logitech G$.. might be an idea. G5 perhaps

I love my MX1000, comfy and the buttons on the side and good for assigning to weapons. I use one for knife and one for main weapon in BF2142, great for snatching those dogtags.

I do have an MX1000 as well as the 500, and I use that for work. I guess its more in the right direction shape and size wise, but I just prefer corded mice...nothing personal Metier9!

Anybody had any experience of the MS Habu? I thought they were coming out with another mouse.

I also heard several comments that the MS intellimouse though basic is really comfortable.

The Logitech G5 certainly looks interesting.

Ive got an intellimouse explorer 4 and ive had no trouble with it. I find it quite comfortable, havent used too many other mice though. Ive got large hands too and it maybe does seem a bit small though. The old intellimouse explorer 3 was more comfortable (one of the most comfortable mice ive ever used).

    i have the mx518.

Its similar to the G5 but not quite as accurate. it has an extra button on the side though.

I love it and wouldnt replace it for anything less than a G5 or possibly a G7 (if the latency is better than normal wireless)

It does hower suffer the same scroll problems as your :s

I believe the Habu would be suited to your needs - I have no personal experience, it's just what I've read from a Razer-blog website...

The G5 is truely awesome, I've played with a Habu and a friend's copperhead but neither come close, the G5 is so comfy and ridiculously precise, you really notice the difference when gaming without it!
