Which of these 939 mATX mobos...?
-
nF-95 you'll have to use clockgen with - BIOS is pretty limited.
Tbh it'll be pretty much a case of what you can actually get - good 939 mATXs are like gold dust these days.
-
Yeah any 939 mobos are rare nowadays. Found the Unoficiall list of good mATX mobos thread on anandtech though and it said the Foxconn 6150 had very good OCing options although the FSB only went up to 300MHz I should be able to get to 2.8GHz with an opty 146.

I'm running a X2 4600+ with the 1st one.
A pig to get hold of though & that was before Xmas last year.

The ASUS A8N-VM-CSM is a good board. I put one in my dad's PC a year ago, and it has been running fine.
Good luck finding one though. I am fairly sure Scan won't be stocking it again.

great board especially for media pcs with onboard video.

IIRC BIOS only allows up to 240 HT on that ASUS CSM though. Again, more should be possible with clockgen.

I couldnt get clockgen working on the MSI NF430 board for love nor money. Seems lot of people were the same.
I couldnt find one report of a first hand account where somone had it working, only posts like "use clockgen".
The NF430 doesnt use a standard external clockgen like most chipsets IIRC, which explains a lot of things :)

One of the moderators (Lyvocoyote) over at the USA abit forum got clockgen working on the abit NF-95. It uses the 410 chipset though. Have a look over there - there's a sticky in the nForce 939 board about it.

I had an nF-95 & clockgen worked on it hence my post

Gotta be somthing on the MSI then :(
