P5B is no different to normal, has the case wire been made wrong, or is it trapped somewhere? Are you fitting it the right way up..that case can fit the motherboard either way round cant it?

Now you,ve got me wondering whether it could go in the other way, i REALLY dont think it can cus of the case orentation (the large window, the rear plate, the mobo securing screws) all of those mean it can only go in 1 way.

So does anyone know if i can get an extension or am i going to have to solder extra bits of wire onto each one?

PS If i do have to solder extras on, what type & thickness of wire should i use (please dont say 'the same wire as in the case')

Without having seen the wiring from your front panel or your case I'd guess it's 28 gauge, stranded wire is easier to work with but solid core can be used as well. Just watch what it is you are extending, if it's USB2 or Firewire you need to make sure you don't introduce noise by using unsheilded cable as it'll kill the performance (get a USB2 cable and use a section of that to extend your existing cable, or preferably remove all the existing cable and use one complete piece of new cable to minmise noise). If it's for LED's and on off switches then it's not important.

Look here and about half way down the page are the contents of the box, and one of them is the "Power and Reset extension cable".

Check, the box again. If it didnt come with a cable, get onto whoever you bought it off and get them to send you one.

If you turned your Mobo around, your PCI cards would be facing the wrong way! Not an option.

You should ask the manufacturer as well as the retailer about your problem. Most of the time, they will be very helpful. Don't go cutting and solering just yet, or you'll void any sort of warranty you may have had.
