DvD Drive information..
Ok. I have no clue on dvd drive stuff and all of that. I have a DVD-RAM drive, now can I burn dvd movies from my video recorder and stuff from that, and run it on my tv? I just need to know about DVD stuff, i've never gotten into it untill now. Can anyone tell me about DVD drives and recording please.

DVD-RAM is highly unlikely to work on a set-top DVD player (since it comes in those cartridges), though it would work in a set-top DVD-RAM based recorder.
as for DVD-R or DVD+R, support varies entirely based on the player

But the drive came with a blank cartridge, and a blank DVD. So, does that mean I can burn regular dvds with it as well?

That is the drive I have.

If it came with a Blank normal DVD (Was it + or - ?) then it is pretty much 100% chance that it will burn it. - are normally more compatible with DVD players, but some DVD RAMs are not in cases, so that disc could still be a DVD RAM disc, see what it says on it.
