Your not getting it though. Flagship cards, as ive already said 2 times, rarely drop in price a lot, it's not the same as the lower cards.

7800GTX are still sold for nearly 300quid.

I don't consider insulting someones intelligence based on their career choice to be light hearted, nor do i consider using the language you used in the context you used it to be light hearted.

Insulting an admin by calling them "jobsworth" isn't on, and i know who you are refering to. I think anyone who chooses to look back over the last 2 pages can tell who you are talking about aswell.

As for the 7800GTX high prices, the reason is that people are still willing to get a 2nd for SLI. It's stupidly poor choice, as a single 8800GTx has much more rounded benefit, but then there's not many 7800GTXs around now, so they might as well get some cash for them and some poor mis-informed people will pay the money.

True about the cards. Surely they have targets aswell, ie they "can't" lower prices until they sell x amount(can't meaning, try not to)...
