    Windows Experience Index?

    Hello people,

Just a very casual question - Is the Windows Experience Index thing in Vista (the one that measures your computer's performance) actually anything useful? If so, what did you get, and what is the limiting factor in your computer?

Mine's 5.2 with the limiting factor being the processor!

For some reason mine says 1 as well. It gives me a score of 1 although I have a DX10 gfx card!

It doesn't make any difference but it just there to give you an indication of how well Vista runs.

Mine was just over 4 at one point and vista still ran fine. Games didn't though. Mines 5.2 now, and it's great and btw it's not scored out of 10 I think it's 6 right now(the number increase as hardware speeds up apparently)

Yeah there must be some driver problem because my 8800GTS is stupidly fast and can handle everything

Driver problems with the 8800. Don't worry about it, by the time the R600 and some DX10 games are released, nVidia might have some beta drivers out.... maybe.....

I get a 5.4.... Processor limitting, but i'll up then when i'm overclocked.
