PC world routinely stock 553 4-4-4-12, so just set the timing on both sets to 12 and you're sorted.

How does one 'reset the timing' ?

It should be in your BIOS manual, usually there is an advanced CPU/chipset section which allows you to select timings and you'd change the tRAS from AUTO to 12. Perhaps someone with the same board can help you with specifics.
