    Old School Question :D

Well, my friends got an Asus A7N8X deluxe, n has just got sum water cooling (lucky basket ), but anywho, he says his bios won' let him get his proccessor any higher than 3200 speeds, and i was wondering if he flashed his bios he could get it higher. If not, is there any other solutions? Thanx

P.S. Everything else is fine e.g heat etc. (Only 35 deg!) Thanx agen

    Whats the CPU?

It may simply be the limit of the CPU ... some overclock very far, some barley allow tweaks!

has he inc voltage yet? assuming his w/c is good and his mobo doesnt complain, 1.9v should be safe, but the mosfets might need more cooling - i killed a nf7-s v1.1 becuase the mosfets overheated. most amd cpus are fine upto 2v with decent w/c...

Yer, the only thing what stopping him is his mobo's bios, it won't go higher than 200 FSB, his CPU is an XP2600 Thoughroughbred B. Does that help?

Looks like you have defunk'd bios. I got the A7N8X-D and my FSB has setting up to around 240. If you have the A7N8X-D v.1 , i would suggest you go to the ASUS site and download the newest bios flash.

Sounds like a BIOS problem try flashing it with the latest BIOS and *should* be ok
