X-FI digital out

Hey all i was wondering how i would attach my amp to my creative X-Fi extreme music to get digital sound.

On the amp i have a selection of phono in's however there is no option to wire in all the speakers seperately in this manor so if i want 5.1 i need to use digital. There is 1 coaxial input and 2 optical inputs on the back of the amp. im assuming i have to use coaxial as there is no digital out on the back of the soundcard.

I know i could get the front i/o panel for it but id rather not as my case has a door...

Can anyone tell me how i would go about connecting this up, what calbes i need etc

Just something to be aware of, the optical digital out of the X-Fi isnt capable of carrying 5.1 surround unless its as dolby/prologic (I found this out the hard way) so you might want to check if the coax is any better on the creative forums...

As for your amp, as far as I'm aware, most amps that have a 5.1 output have the option for an external decoder, where you can plug in a set of 6 phonos (front, back and center/sub). It would prolly be useful if you were to tell us the make/model of your amp so we can hum and har over it a bit.
