paintstripper guns work better, just don't hold it in one place very long or you'll melt everything lol

paintstripper guns are IMO the best to use for heatshrink. I use a lot of electronics for my uni course, and there I use a special heatshrink airgun, but it is just a paintstripper with a 2cm diameter barrel, and slightly less wattage.
As stoo says, be careful, and dont touch the gun onto the heatshrink, as it looks carp.
