How do you test your PSU?

Hey, well a few months ago when I built my system I got this ezcool psu, it seemed ok on scan (http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=468732) but now my system is starting to get sophisticated, I'm scared it will blow it up. Lots of people swear by only tagan / seasonic psus, and I try to avoid no-name ones, and the reason I got this one was that it seemed the most appropriate at the time.

So, should I just upgrade, or is there a way to test the amperage on the rails etc.?

use a multimeter they cost about £5 while its switched on take of the side panel and test a 4 pin molex for the +12v and +5.5v rails
and test the 3.3v on the motherboard if your voltages are above 12/5.5/3.3 after keeping the multi on it for a minute if they are above and stay above constantly and dont fluctuate very much then your psu is fine

although if you have that 700w psu and are using what your rig says you will be fine it should be no problem at all i doubt you are pulling much more than 60% of that at load


also do you get any random crashes etc if you dont then dont worry
