    Hardware Upgrade for t40 thinkpad

    I've acquired a IBM T40 Thinkpad with a 1.3ghz centrino and 256mb of ddr.

I need some memory for a start off and pointed my browser in the direction of Scan and have that sorted.

Now if I want to upgrade the CPU in this machine. Firstly is it possible and secondly what CPU's should I be looking at upgrading it with?

It's free gratis and in A* condition so I though a few quid here and there wouldn't go a miss.

Could any please share with me some knowledge?

    Thank you

You can change the CPU - its a PITA to do but it is do-able

Memory - easy Crucial.com for that

What cpu's are in my range? I see the new core duo's are at Scan can these be fitted in there?

If it's possible which model should I set my sights on?
