    think it is
theres two ways to do it - ones the wiremod - you short/break connections between the pins in the socket of cpu as if they were jumpers - which some are basicly. on the top of the cpu there are l1, l3, and l4 bridges. l3 and l4 are connected directly to the cpu pins adn are used for setting the default speed. if you look up the wiremod on google you should find which ones you need to do. - this mod is easy to remove if you no longer want it, shouldnt be any risk of killing mobo if you do it right

other way is a vcore mod on the mobo. first you have to find the right chip for the cpu ovltage regulation, get the datasheet, find the right pin, and connect it in series with a 50k pot to ground. this makes the voltage regulator think the cpu voltage has dropped - which it hasnt, so it increases it, giving more voltage.

id do the first one unnless you want over 1.78v - most mobos should be capable of 1.85 but they all undervolt slightly.

using 1.85 or higher voltage you will need to put some passive heatsinks on the mosfets as they will be out of spec and could overheat and die. cut up cpu heatsinks work well

    is this the same mobo?

if you want to do the mod the second way then i think hte chip would be the 20pin one next to the nb fan connector

god, i didnt follow much of that

the first one sounds easier, and more realistic, im not good at stuff like this but a low chance of illing it sounds good to me

do you mean joinin the pins on the cpu socket? then puttin in the cpu so that 2 pins would be connected to both pins to fool it ?
