OCZ is a good company, although i've never personally had any experience wiht OCZ, i've read and talked to many a person that have bought this type of ram. OCZ has had a history of being the enthusiast's ram, and is suppose to overclock and be stable up to quite a high speed. GO BUY THEM, if oyu want, or go look for something cheaper like crucial ram, which i currently have and have gotten the pc3200 ram up to around 230mhz, but mine only cost about $98. And those heatspreaders, while looking awsome, dont really do much. Some other companies to look into would be Mushkin, crucial, Kingston and Corsair

I had some OCZ PC3700 EL Gold Dual Channel kit and tbh I couldn't get them to run any better than my Geils (on P4 platform), infact the Geils faired better.

Obviously I was a bit miffed that £160 ($270) worth of "quality" memory were inferior in perfomance - on my rig.

I was mystified by its lack of performance but I then stumbled accross this article and I was mildly surprised by the findings, particularly in regards to the contents of the memory sticks.

Now I wasn't prepaired to removed the heatspreaders (and thus void the warranty) just to confirm that my memory was infact Samsung ram, but do take note that OCZ has had a chequered past and given my own test and the findings of the article I would have the following words, - spots, change, does leopard, a, not, its.

    Just my opinion of course.

i have read some truely outustanding things regarding their (ocz) customer service and having a lifetime warranty on memory cant be bad. Not had any dealings with them, but I am planning on getting some memory in the near future, and ocz was the brand that I was looking at.
